Schwarz Etienne leather straps are manufactured by saddlers from the finest leathers. Each strap is handmade and hand stitched. An elegant and original signature, they are lined with leathers of bright colors, as are certain suits.
Entirely manufactured in-house, including the hairspring, the balance wheel features an exclusive design feature. On balancing it draws the brand’s SE initials.
A high-end construction, the micro-rotor permits the integration of an ultra-compact automatic winding mechanism. For maximum efficiency, and despite its reduced diameter, winding is bidirectional. This elegant solution ensures the caliber can be admired in all its splendour. The oscillations of the micro-rotor on the dial side add dynamism to the design.
The La Chaux-de-Fonds Tourbillon PSR is enhanced with fine stones adding colour and a sense of depth to its face. The off-centre hours and minutes dial and the retrograde seconds’ indicator are fashioned out of green aventurine, anthracite hematite specularite, lapis lazuli or blue opal. Their delicate manufacturing requires extreme care, the cutting and the finishing of these stones demanding skill, precision and savoir-faire.
The La Chaux-de-Fonds Tourbillon case back is engraved with a gears motif. A small circular opening around the tourbillon reveals a captivating ballet from multiple angles, lending light to these exceptional mechanics.

A one-minute tourbillon movement with its micro-rotor on the dial side, incorporating, in a truly innovative way, a retrograde small-second. Its mechanism is built directly in connection with the tourbillon. A snail cam is mounted on the tourbillon arbor. A ratchet gear rests on this cam while the system is tensioned with a spring. This mechanism allows the small seconds’ hand to advance along an arc and then suddenly jump back to recommence at its starting point.
Because the cam is shaped in a constantly increasing diameter, there is little interference with the tourbillon’s performance, despite the retrograde seconds being directly mounted on its arbor.
