The dial comes in two color variations, ocean blue and sand grey. It stands out through a rich and nuanced composition, shaped by multiple guilloché zones that evoke a sense of movement, where the hands evolve with precision. The hour track, hand-guilloché, reveals a sunburst pattern that brings a subtle vibrancy to the surface. It is framed by a neat chemin de fer, adding both structure and clarity to the overall design.

At the center, the fish-scale motif unfolds a refined interplay of textures. Its geometry evolves progressively, with the pattern increasing in scale as it approaches the hour track, creating a visual depth that is both dynamic and harmonious.

The generously proportioned small seconds display occupies a prominent position in the lower part of the dial. Its background is enlivened by a wave-like guilloché pattern, adding movement and subtlety. A finely drawn railway track highlights the contours, while a discreet silvered plaque recalls Kari Voutilainen’s high-end signature, a tribute to his artistry and refinement.

The dials of the ROMA SYNERGY by Kari Voutilainen take shape in the Finnish watchmaker’s ateliers. Initially engine-turned (guilloché) in Môtiers, they are then transferred to the Saint-Sulpice site, where each color is delicately revealed through a subtle galvanic treatment, highlighting the exquisite craftsmanship and artisanal finesse that define them.

The manufacture’s automatic ASE 200.00 caliber is revealed through the transparent case back, unveiling a world of precision and subtlety. Its balance oscillates at 21,600 vibrations per hour (3 Hz), offering a generous power reserve of 86 hours.

Born of Schwarz Etienne’s industrial mastery and in-house craftsmanship, this caliber combines technical sophistication with elegance. The Ateliers Kari Voutilainen enhance the micro-rotor as well as the ratchet wheel, adorned with diamond drops and delicate snailing. The jewels and screws are meticulously polished, while the movement’s perlage is delicately revealed around the micro-rotor. The bridges, hand-beveled with straight flanks, harmonize perfectly with the polished black steel components, creating a subtle dialogue between strength and refinement.

The guilloché decoration of the dial extends seamlessly into the movement. A pattern, engraved on a rose-engine lathe, radiates from the balance shock protection system and spreads outward, enveloping all the bridges and the balance cock. Near the balance, an 18-carat red gold appliqué proudly bears the signature “Schwarz Etienne by Voutilainen.” Every detail reflects a horological art where precision, aesthetics and craftsmanship come together in perfect harmony.
